The Parks Foundation hosts special events each year that provide opportunities to align your business with attendees.
2026 events include: Friends & Legends, Party in the Park, Creekside Classic and Santa & Sirens Toy Drive.

Support a Fund
Our parks are central to what makes Valparaiso a vibrant, connected community—and our four dedicated funds offer meaningful ways to make a lasting impact.
Whether supporting immediate needs, enhancing natural beauty, investing in youth programs, or creating a long-term legacy, each fund allows donors to give with purpose. Every contribution helps strengthen our parks and ensures they continue to serve and inspire our community for generations to come.
Our Funds

Trees make Valparaiso a more vibrant, livable city. They provide shade, reduce flooding, improve air and water quality, and boost property values. They also make our parks and neighborhoods more beautiful. Our urban forest includes more than 10,000 trees!
Your gift supports tree planting in Valpo Parks, public spaces, city facilities, and rights of way — the places people enjoy every day.

The Legacy Fund is available to benefit any of our 17 parks. Working with the Valpo Parks Department, the Park Foundation can identify a specific need and help provide necessary resources.
Building this fund is important as it enables the Park Foundation to quickly respond to unexpected needs or opportunities as they arise. A contribution to the Legacy Fund will ensure that the legacy of the Valpo Parks continues at a high standard for years to come.

Join the team! A contribution to the Youth Sports Fund will help provide proper equipment, ensure safe field conditions, train and retain experienced officials, and provide a foundation in which youngsters can learn about sportsmanship, teamwork, and other life skills.
Our community is built on providing opportunities for youth to grow into future leaders. The Youth Sports Fund is a great way to show your support!

The EverGreen Society was established to ensure our parks are preserved and protected for years to come so that they will continue to be an integral part of our vibrant community. By including Vaparaiso Parks Foundation in your will, estate plan or by making a gift in your lifetime, you are leaving a legacy that will touch others for generations to come.
EverGreen Society funds are permanently endowed from which only the earnings will be spent. The endowment fund is entirely separate from city control and provides a permanent vehicle to support the Valparaiso Parks system.

Volunteer
How to help - Option Four
We offer numerous opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to volunteer. Individuals and groups are welcome.
As a volunteer, you will find satisfaction in being of service to the community, develop your interests and make new acquaintances. You may choose to volunteer on a regular monthly schedule or on an occasional basis.
