Block Party in the Park has something for everyone.  Whether you're the life of the party or a wallflower, you won't want to miss this new variation of your favorite Valpo Parks fundraiser.  Kick back and relax with a cold beverage, chat with your friends and neighbors, play yard games, dance to the music, or keep to yourself and just take it all in!

CREEKSIDE CLASSIC

Creekside Classic gives kids an opportunity to play in a real shotgun start, best ball outing! The annual event benefits the Valpo Parks Foundation in its mission to continue the quality of the community parks system. This fun-filled day of golf includes food, awards, and a Creekside Classic hat for all participants.

Join us on Thursday, July 17, 2025 for this year’s one-of-a-kind golf outing!

NEW THIS YEAR: 2 flight options for faster play! Each flight involves a 12-hole best ball scramble with a shotgun start, and a skills competition for kids age 12 and under.

AM Flight: Check-in starts at 7:30am, shotgun start at 8:30am. Lunch and awards takes place at 11:30am.

PM Flight: Check-in and lunch starts at 12:00pm, shotgun start at 1:00pm. Awards take place at 4:00pm.

Foursomes consist of 2 adults and 2 juniors. Register as a team, or as an individual (we'll help fill your foursome)!

FRIENDS & LEGENDS

"Celebrating Friends & Legends" reception is held each year to honor those who lend support and volunteer to aid in the mission of the Foundation. The "Art & Irene Malasto Legends Award" is presented to give recognition and appreciation to a person or business that has supported the Valpo Parks in a significant way through volunteer service, leadership, and/or gifts of financial support. The "Community Champion" Award serves to honor someone who demonstrates leadership and stewardship in the community.

Please join us this year on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

The 2024 Friends & Legends reception was held on Thursday, October 3rd and honored Nancy Bender, Matt Vessely, and Byron Smith III.
