Donation Request Policy

Overview 

The Valpo Parks Foundation is committed to raising funds to benefit Valpo Parks and supporting the surrounding community. It is our mission to provide opportunities for the community to connect with the Valpo Parks to support high quality experiences. The Foundation receives an abundance of donation requests and will often fulfill these requests to charitable causes in the local community to serve the greater good. 

Policy 

  • Any organization requesting a donation must be a current 501(C)(3)/non-profit organization that is able to provide valid tax-exempt documentation from the Internal Revenue Service upon request. 

  • Requesting organization may not have political or religious affiliations. 

  • Only requests from non-profit organizations within Porter County (IN) will be considered.

    • Exceptions may be made for organizations hosting events at Valpo Parks facilities. 

  • Requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event to give proper time to evaluate the request. 

  • Proposals that are not submitted within the 10-day window may not be considered due to time constraints. 

Note: Donation requests may not be considered if there are conflicts due to readiness of item, previous request(s), or date availability.

Items for Donation

  • Gift certificate to Forest Park/Creekside Golf Course – Maximum $200 value

    • Not valid on apparel purchases 

  • Annual pass for Rogers Lakewood Park - $60 value 

  • 5 Admission booklet to Central Park Plaza Ice Rink - $60 value 

  • One week of Discovery Day Camp for K-6th Grade  (does not include add-ons) 

  • Additional items may be available upon request (Maximum $200 value)
